Hi! I’m Willie Artis (he/him), a Licensed Professional Counselor-Resident, CSAC-R, and QMHP. I hold an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, along with dual B.A. degrees in Psychology focused on Crisis Counseling and Substance Use. My background includes over 10 years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, substance use and addiction, relationship stress, and process addictions like gambling.
As a military veteran, I understand the unique pressures that life transitions, identity exploration, and resilience-building can bring. I approach therapy with empathy, collaboration, and respect, believing that healing begins in a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard.
I draw from a range of evidence-based practices, including Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, Solution-Focused approaches, grief support, and the Matrix Model for substance use. Each session is tailored to your needs and goals. Clients often describe me as respectful, understanding, and compassionate. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, process your pain, and move toward the life you want to live.
