Licensed Resident in Counseling

Hello! I’m Lisa, a Licensed Resident in Counseling based in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, with over 25 years of dedicated experience in the field. My passion is empowering individuals to heal, grow, and thrive, especially those who have experienced domestic violence, individuals with disabilities, and those facing challenges such as autism, ADHD, addiction, and mental health struggles.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including college students, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I specialize in individual and group counseling, helping clients navigate life’s most difficult moments and achieve lasting change.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bridgewater College, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling, and an Education Specialist degree with a concentration in Leadership from Liberty University. My counseling style is rooted in a blend of CBT, DBT, and existential theories, offering a personalized, holistic approach tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Guided by a strong belief in the person-centered philosophy of “nothing about you, without you,” I create a safe, collaborative space where clients are empowered to take the lead in their healing journey. My Christian worldview also provides an open, non-judgmental environment for clients to explore spiritual questions when desired.

Together, we’ll work to uncover your inner strength, develop practical strategies, and create meaningful change.
