My clinical experience includes providing support to sexual assault and domestic victims in the courtroom; juvenile and adult sex offenders /sexual violent predators in residential treatment facilities and community; public school Pre-K through 12th; and inmates in the department of corrections.I take a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to counseling, implementing intervention from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I value providing a listening environment where my clients feel safe and heard. I believe the client is in charge of their treatment and moving at “your” pace is my focus.
I have experience working with trauma informed care, crisis intervention, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, paraphilias, substance abuse, severe mental illness, grief and loss, school related issues. LGBT +, criminals, and sex offender populations are specialty areas I have worked. I am fully trained in EMDR and I use this approach with clients who have experienced trauma.
