Licensed Resident in Counseling

We travel the road with you, hope for the hopeful and hopeless! We pair authentic listening with the power of hope.
I am an encourager of people from all walks of life; pointing them to “thrive” no matter what situations life has brought their way. I believe it’s just life and life will yield to your command over it. I believe in encouraging others by helping them to reframe their thoughts about life’s challenges. My most treasured “client” was my Mother who graciously affirmed me by saying: “you’re good at this, you should do this.”
I received my Master of Social Work with clinical concentration from Norfolk State University. My expertise includes: Certified Anger Management Facilitator, Alzheimer’s Trainer, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Specialist. I have experience working with military families suffering from anger management, depression, and other challenging emotions. I specialize in coping skills, relationship issues focusing on Life Transitions, and Suicidal Ideation. My therapeutic techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Grief Therapy. I work with elderly adults, adults, teens, and military families.
