ROHC Recognized for Supporting Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts
On April 22, Rivers of Hope Counseling (ROHC) participated in the Liberty & Justice for All Committee’s Easter Drive, hosted by Ground Up Ministries, an event supporting anti-human trafficking initiatives.
ROHC was honored with an award recognizing its contributions and donations toward this important cause. Pina Toledo, founder of Ground Up Ministries, shared:
“Charmaine, you and your organization have helped restore faith and hope in young people. Changing people’s lives through a foundation of love and care truly makes a difference.”
We are grateful to our clients, partners, and supporters. Your generosity helps us extend care, hope, and healing beyond our therapy sessions and into the community.
ROHC Joins SWFL NAMIWalks 5K to Support Mental Health
On March 14, our Florida team joined the SWFL NAMIWalks 5K to raise awareness for mental health. It was inspiring to connect, walk, and support one another while making a difference.
Thanks to everyone who participated, donated, or helped spread the word. Together, we raised $846, surpassing our $500 goal. Your support helps us continue bringing hope, healing, and care to our communities.
Just Turkeys Community Fundraiser
For over two decades, Rivers of Hope Counseling’s founder, Charmaine Dockett has been hosting Just Turkeys, a community fundraiser that provides Thanksgiving turkeys and chickens for families in underserved or food insecure communities in the Chantilly, VA area. Each year, Just Turkeys purchases and delivers turkeys, chickens, and other food items to families who may not otherwise be able to have them for Thanksgiving. With the help of the community, Just Turkeys is able to regularly donate over 100 meals to families in need at Baileys Crossroads Elementary School for the Arts and Sciences, Alternative Paths Training School, the Culmore Community Center in Falls Church, VA, and many more.
