Licensed Resident in Counseling
Ebone Brogdon
We travel the road with you, hope for the hopeful and hopeless! We pair authentic listening with the power of hope.
I am a Licensed Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I obtained my Master of Science degree in Counselor Education at Longwood University, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am passionate about helping people navigate life in a manner that is most authentic and helpful to them. I offer a collaborative and holistic approach to counseling, which allows me to work together with clients and gain a perspective of the whole person. This approach allows me to help clients enhance their overall quality of life and well being. I enjoy working with clients of all ages starting at age 6 and above from a Client-Centered and CBT theoretical orientation.
I believe all clients possess the ability to resolve their concerns and emotional turmoil, and see myself as a support and facilitator in revealing and strengthening those qualities in a safe, effective, and ethical care and service. As a clinician, my goal is to remain genuine, open, supportive, encouraging, and non-judgemental. I possess a natural ability to see beyond an individual’s spoken words to help them overcome core issues. I truly enjoy helping people discover the power within themselves through talk therapy, play therapy, modeling, skill building, and other supportive and creative interventions specifically designed for them.
