Mental Health Counselor
Sharrae Smith

We travel the road with you, hope for the hopeful and hopeless! We pair authentic listening with the power of hope.
I am a Navy veteran, wife of an active-duty service member, educator, mentor, and professional mental health clinician with a knack for fostering trusting and lasting relationships with fellow humans who are in need of a reliable supporter at integral times along their life’s journey. It has been an honor to provide trauma-informed, person-centered counseling using the evidence-based models of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which have been shown to effectively mitigate symptoms of depression and anxiety, and a host of other mental health woes. My clients will play an active role in growing in understanding of their behaviors and ways that their past experiences may have contributed to their current levels of coping. It is not uncommon for one to become overwhelmed in living and when that happens, I will be here for you. Throughout our regularly scheduled sessions, you will grow in empowerment and learn how to acknowledge your current situation and put clear plans in place to re-write your narrative in a way that will keep you moving forward.
